The star has revealed that she believes it's no longer appropriate to voice opinions against the Trump administration, worried it could intensify divisive discussions and increase separation across the country.

In a recent interview, the Oscar winner commented, “During the first Trump administration, I thought I was moving hastily in a panicked state. But as we’ve learned, election after election, Hollywood stars do not make a difference in any way on voter decisions.”

She continued, “What’s the point? I’m just voicing my thoughts on an issue that’s going to add fuel to a fire dividing the country apart.”
