Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet landed following standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer commented in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.

This event does not mark the first time that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.

Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was required to return to Washington DC after encountering a technical issue.
